SatTech4EO - Workshop on Satellite Technology and Remote Sensing Techniques for Earth Observation within the Copernicus programme



The “SatTech4EO workshop on Satellite Technology and Remote Sensing methods for Earth Observation within the Copernicus program” is a 2-day meeting that aims at involving the up-stream, midstream and downstream industrial and research community in a common forum, fostering a common knowledge on the Copernicus programme. The main scope is consolidating the link among all the actors and, in particular, making the participants to the national user forum and user uptake initiatives to be aware of the technological progresses  and the current potential of space techniques in matching the user requirements, as compared to conventional observations, in a multi-year perspective. On the othe side, the industry will be enabled to better understand the user needs and plan their research and development activities, thus improving competitiveness for future Copernicus space infrastructure development.The workshop organization will promote an exchange and cross-fertilization of ideas to help develop space infrastructures and services “looking at our planet and its environment to benefit all European citizens”.   

Output and Results:

  • Advertising of the event in the media.
  • Organization of the SatTech4EO workshop on Satellite Technology and Remote Sensing methods for Earth Observation within the Copernicus program, with duration of 2 days
  • Material of each lecture made available through the website to citizens and students in particular.
