Portuguese Users Coordination and Training – Part II
The action “Portuguese Users Coordination and Training” is implemented in three parts. Part I is Action 2018-1-24. The goals of this action are: (i) to promote the uses of Copernicus with a wide geographic distribution; (ii) to promote the organization/coordination of information on actual and potential Copernicus users, their skills and needs; and (iii) to provide training to foster the uptake of Copernicus data and information within all relevant national users (public administration, academia, non-governmental organizations, private sector), by developing dissemination and training tools and activities. All activities will be in Portuguese and will be implemented in articulation with Copernicus Relays and Academia.
The action includes the following activities and goals:
- National conference to present and discuss national case studies on use of Sentinel images and Copernicus products
- Develop and implement a web site to organize and coordinate national users and to promote the use of Copernicus images and products within Portugal
- Three advanced training courses on Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3 image processing
- Three advanced training courses to explore and uptake the products of Copernicus services related to land, marine and emergency thematic areas
