Accordingly needs and lacks in formation - in French language - established by other FPA actions, this action proposes to build blocks of digital learning adaptable and re-usable with different learning context on:

  • Theory of remote sensing and Copernicus free imagery
  • Practical uses to a given DIAS's access and specific access to given image
  • Access to Copernicus services

The proposed action aims to create and distribute blocks of knowledge matters (courses, exercises tests…). These materials produced with the help of FPA will be “open data”. It means with a real and free access for everyone.

The action aim to design, produce and use theses blocks using an LMS system by building a new offer in full distance learning courses with high level certificates.

Our distance learning activity, established since 2006, allows to produce pedagogical material for less than 3000 € per course hour.

So the requested budget allows to produce pedagogical materials for 15 hours of new courses (2 days training) and allows a light upgrade for our equipment. The part of budget remaining will be devoted to internal necessary expenses, as the time necessary for our pedagogues, teachers et distance learning courses producer to accomplish theirs work.

The action will produce new blocks that will aim to complete the already existing scientific matter.  The objective on the project is to produce enough material and practical works to design 150 hours of new courses.

At the moment, the courses operate in distant learning mode are appreciated by the students all over the world. But the students used to complain to have no good help to access the free imagery they need to work on their specific projects. This difficulty much more operational has to be facilitated by add on practical courses.

Outputs and Results

  • Modules will be also proposed in short training programs and will be referenced in the French RNCP repository
  • Production of 3 modules as well as 6 training sessions, which should be attended by at least 50 students
