Exchange day between research teams and enterprises using Copernicus data and services

The aim of this action is to promote Copernicus products and their applications in the research communities and private sector by stimulating interactions between participants that could lead to future collaborations.

This exchange day between scientists, enterprises and public authorities within the Pôle Mer Méditerranée will be organised in two parts: the morning will be dedicated to discussions on the various applications of Copernicus data and services, especially the CMEMS, between the research sector and the private sector in the marine/maritime domain. Stakeholders from Operational Oceanography, such as Mercator-Océan, will be invited to present their activities, products and future developments. The afternoon will be dedicated to hands-on computer exercises, in order to discover, visualize and master the different CMEMS products.

The Pôle Mer Méditerranée is a business and innovation sea cluster located in South of France. It aims to promote sustainable development of the maritime and coastal economy, in the Mediterranean, Europe and the rest of the world.

Outputs and Results

This action will help to compare different uses of the Copernicus products, in particular from the Marine Environment Monitoring Service, and will help to initiate future collaborations between researchers and enterprises (applied research projects at national or European level, etc.)
