Training Course on Copernicus Applications in Inland Waters

The training course (15 hours, 2 days) was entitled: “Copernicus applications in inland waters”. It was conducted in Spanish, Portuguese and English, by 4 Professors and Researchers of the Image Processing Laboratory (University of Valencia) and was directed to 17 Post Graduate students of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (Portugal).

The training course included:

  • 5 hours of introduction to the Copernicus Programme and the remote sensing of water quality
  • 10 hours of hands-on training on accessing and downloading of Copernicus Sentinels datasets, including
  • A complete exercise on the SNAP toolbox on general image processing operations and specific processing tools for inland water quality retrieval.
