A specialized module (level of Master 2 and Executive Master) has been created for the use of Sentinel Data in a specific domain related to agriculture. The training module consists of the two following parts:

  1. Overview of the uses of remote sensing, and Sentinel in particular, for agriculture.
  2. A more technical part concerning access to and use of Sentinel 1 images for soil characterization.

The module has been produced by the end of April 2020 and two sessions were conducted over the course of the year 2020. High interest was shown, and 75 applications were received in total from France and French-speaking African countries. Due to limited places and some delayed applications, 45 trainees were formed in the end (the original goal was 40).
