A National Conference on the use of Satellite data and Copernicus data was organised by IGiK in Poland. The first day of the conference was dedicated to the administrative sector.

At the beginning, representatives from IGiK presented science materials, covering the following topics:

  • Introduction to the Copernicus Programm
  • Use of current satellite and meteorological data for determining drought areas for Poland
  • Use of Copernicus data for the needs of national statistics for forecasting agricultural yields

The idea was to show the real benefits of access to free satellite data as well as to listen to examples of the practical implementation of Copernicus data in the activities of the state administration. Some of the speakers are also participants of the workshops and the information session that have been organized by IGiK during the last year.

This day of the conference has been organised as part of the Action "Application of Copernicus products and value-added services for management of environment and forecasting agricultural production".
