On 13 May 2021, the BEYOND Centre of the National Observatory of Athens in collaboration with PRAXI Network/FORTH organised an introductory webinar on Copernicus.

The webinar covered the following topics:

  • Introduction to the Copernicus programme
  • Copernicus thematic areas, services and applications
  • How to get Sentinel data through the Hellenic Mirror Site platform of the BEYOND Centre of EO Research and Satellite Remote Sensing
  • How BEYOND has exploited Copernicus data to produce new services.

The webinar has been carried out in the framework of the Action "Greek Training Activities at NOA" and has been implemented in collaboration with PRAXI Network/FORTH. It aims to bring together the Greek scientific community involved in space and to introduce possibilities offered by space and space applications in various fields of science and society.
