Direção-Geral do Território - DGT

The Directorate-General for the Territory (DGT) is responsible for pursuing public policies on spatial planning, land use, territorial and urban development and geographic information (GI). DGT is in charge of the National Geodetic Network, the production of topographic and thematic cartography and Cadastre and the coordination of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (SNIG). DGT has an R&D department for the development of innovative methodologies to acquire, produce and explore geographic information.
